A Little About Me

Welcome to Tea Talk with Callie!

My name is Callie, and I'm excited to have you here. I am currently a Law Clerk at a Law Firm in Ohio, on civil litigation matters. Through my work, I've gained insight into the legal profession and the real impact the law can have on people's lives.

Outside of work and my law school journey, I enjoy baking, reading, and traveling. I am currentlyreading IT by Stephen Kind andam always looking forward tomy next adventure.

I've always enjoyed learning, discussing current events, and exploring different perspectives. That's a big part of what inspired this blog.

My Education and Legal Career Journey

My interest in law didn't happen overnight. It developed through both my education and my experience working in the legal field.

I earned an Associate Degree before continuing my education and completing a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Wanting to gain a stronger understanding of the legal profession, I also earned a Legal Assistant/Paralegal Certificate.

Since then, I've built my career in the legal field and currently work as an Law Clerk at a law firm. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to learn from attorneys, observe the litigation process, and see firsthand how the law impacts people's lives. Those experiences have taught me that every case represents a real person facing a real challenge, and that's something I've never forgotten.

Why I Am Pursuing Law School

For me, law school is the next step in a journey I've already been on for several years.

My education gave me the academic foundation, but working in a law firm showed me what the legal profession looks like beyond the classroom. I've seen the amount of work, dedication, and advocacy that goes into helping clients navigate difficult situations.

I also had the opportunity to intern with TurnUp Activism, where I researched the history of advocacy movements and gained hands-on experience engaging with communities and important social issues. That experience helped me understand the many forms advocacy can take and reinforced my belief that informed action can create meaningful change.

The more experience I've gained, both professionally and through advocacy work, the more I've realized that I want to take a more active role in helping others. I don't just want to support the legal process. I want to become the attorney helping clients understand their options, advocate for their interests, and navigate some of the most important moments of their lives.

I know the road to law school and becoming an attorney won't be easy, but it's a goal I've worked toward for years. My education, legal experience, and advocacy work have all strengthened my commitment to pursuing a legal career, and I'm excited to continue that journey.

Why I Started This Blog

I created Tea Talk with Callie to share my law school and LSAT journey while building a community for others on the same path. Pursuing law school isn't easy, and sometimes it can feel overwhelming trying to navigate the LSAT, applications, and everything in between.

My goal is to share helpful information, LSAT updates, study experiences, and honest insights from my own journey. I want this to be a place where people can ask questions, learn from one another, and have open discussions about the realities of pursuing a legal career.

Most importantly, I want to show that this path isn't always easy, but with dedication, persistence, and time, your goals are possible. We don't have to navigate this journey alone.

Final Thoughts

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me and my journey. I started Tea Talk with Callie to create a supportive community for people pursuing law career, preparing for the LSAT, or simply looking for guidance along the way.

I hope that by sharing my experiences, challenges, and lessons learned, I can help others feel a little less alone, along with myself, during this process. This journey isn't always easy, but with dedication, persistence, and the willingness to keep going, progress is possible.

I look forward to sharing this journey with you, learning from one another, and building a community that grows together.
